Blueberry Pancakes

My favorite day of the week is Sunday. Why? Because I can sleep till 11 o'clock, don't need to rush up for job or school and I can enjoy breakfast with my family.
Last Sunday I really wanted to do something special and surprise my boyfriend. I made blueberry pancakes. And because they were awsome I decided to share the recipe with you guys.

So, for my kind of pancakes you will neeed:
  • 2/3 eggs
  • 200 g all purpose flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • One small teaspoon of butter  (you have to melt it down)– you can skip this if you want to make it just a little bit healthier.
  • *baking powder – i don't use it but the pancakes are still fluffy and thick.
  • blueberries

  • First separate egg yolks from egg whites.
  • Wisk egg whites untill they solidify.
  • In second bowl mix egg yolks, sugar, salt, milk and flour.
  • In the end you have to add egg whites into the second bowl and gently mix both mixture together.

Before I puur the batter in the pan  I love to put in some blueberries  – they can be fresh of frozen.

I like to make pancakes on butter.
Put a small peace of butter in a hot pan and wait until butter is completley melted. Then put one scoop of mixture in the pan and wait untill the pancake is nicely brown on one side, then turn it around and wait another minute.

My favorite thing to put on top of pancakes is honey. The taste of it reminds me of my childhood when I used to eat bread with honey before I went to school. It's nice to start a day with something sweet.

P.S. Don't eat them every day, unless if you like to try new weightloss programes. :P

Have a  great day!

Shopping Time!

2 weeks ago I did a little trip to the drugstore and I've bought myself some new stuff. Some of them I wanted forever, the rest is just some rendom picks.

Deep red lipstick

For ages I wanted a deep red lip stick that would be comfortable to wear. I've heard only good things about YSL lipsticks and Dior as well. At the end I picked up Dior Addict Lipstick in 872 Arty. I think this is a fabulous colour for fall. It is such a stylish colour and it goes with almost every eye make up.
I have been using it a lot for the last two weeks so I can tell you what I think about it.
The formulation of the lipstick is absolutelly amazing, I love that is is more on the sheer side. It's very moisturizing and comfortable on the lips. I've read that Dior Addict lipsticks are made with 25% less wax, than a classic lipstick. They use gel instead. Because of the formulation the lipstick is more moisturizing, shiny and looks amazing.
I think this is one of the best lipsticks that I have tried. I would definitely buy one again.

Dior Diorskin Shimmer Star

I've read a lot about this product. I wanted to buy it for a really long time. It is not the cheapest product out there. And on the top of that – you can definitely live without it.
I have light skin and many highliters/blushers don't suit me very good. Because of that I was a bit sceptical about spending 40+€ for a highliter.
Now I know all my wories were for nothing. The product is amazing. It leaves my skin looking very healthy and glowy. The texture of the powder is great. It's looking great on my skin and I am sure it would look great on any skin tone.  It is great for highlighting, and it is also amazing as a blusher. It is just the most beautuful array of colours put together.
I have to say, It definitely is the product that I can live without, but I don't want to. If you want something luxurious and sprakly, this is the product for you.

I also picked up a few L'Oreal Infallible  eyeshadows. I have quite a few at home. The colour range is lovely and it looks very nice on my eyes. These eyeshadows are essentially loose pigments. I had a few not very good experiences with pigments and loose eyeshadows. But these look amazing, and they stay on very well. I love to put some kind of a base under it, but they work almost as good even without it.
Price is ok, not very cheep, but they are worth the money.
This ones is my favourite colour - it is #4 Forever pink.

While I was browsing through the store I've found this lipstick, it is from Manhattan. It is a matt lipstick in a peachy nude colour. I fell in love with the colour instantly. It is nice texture, but definitelly not as nice as Dior. The colour in the bullet is beautiful, but kind of pale on the lips.

It is quite comfortable to wear and it is not dry at all. I thing it is a great buy for your money. It sets you back less than 5€. This particular colour was part of the limited edition so I couldn't find the link – sorry.

That's all :)

MAKE UP TRENDS FALL/WINTER 2013 - PART 1

The summer is officialy over, but there is more then one reason to be very excited for the fall.
There is something magical about this time of the year, everything gets more quite, peacfull and colourful. I absolutely adore all the fall colours and can't wait for more cold wather to try them on.

This year in make up is all about rusty and violet colours, deep red lips, cat eyes,...
More than just runway creation was rather unwerable, but I am sure everyone can find something for himself.
I picked up some of my favorites and divided them into two parts.

Red lips

I love my make up to be simple and quick to put on. Beautiful skin, classic red lips and almost nothing on the eyes, definitelly something for me. I love to keep everything natural. With a bit of contour on the ckeeks and some highlihgter on the apples of the cheeks and you are redy for a nice diner with your boyfriend, husband or just a relaxed evening with your friends. My first choice would be matte red lipstick, and only for special occasions, top it with lip gloss.

Rusty/orangy eyes

You can look like you're on the runway every day. These orangy colours are really trending up lately. Because I like to contour my eyes, I would add a bit of darker shades in the crease. If I want to transfer this look into the evening one, I swipe gold colour on my lids and vivid orangy tones for the contour. Add something natural-coloured on your lips and some colour to your cheeks, thats all.

That's all for today! :)

DELICIOUS HOME MADE PIZZA

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Who does not like pizza? I think we all love it.
Pizza is one of those things that we just crave sometimes. It is not just bread, cheese and tomato, it is something more. When all these igredients blend together, they make the this delicious taste and it smells just amazing.
I love going out for pizza, but it is even cooler to make it at home.
I think it is more special because you can use whatever you want and do it exactley as you want, and with ingredients that are high above pizzeria quality standards, if you wish. It is so simple.

What is the story abut pizza?
The word pizza was firs used in Italy (dooh:p). I've heard a lot of stories about how the pizza was invented, but I especcially love this one – someone told me that pizza has been made for the first time, when, (of course a long time ago), a very poor and hungry man asked at the local inn if they have any food left to give him. The owner put some tomato souce, ham and cheese (basically leftovers) on a piece of bread or dough and baked it. This was alegedly the moment when pizza was made for the first time.

So, as I mentioned already, I love to do it at home, put on whatever I like and I think it is a nice snack to have in front of the TV, watching sports if you are that kind of a person or if it is that time of the year, or just over a good movie.
Here is the way I make it:

For the dough you will need:
  • 0.5 kg sharp flour
  • 0.2 dcl cold water  (or more if needed)
  • 12 g yeast
  • olive oil
  • salt

Procedure:
  • Put the flour in a large bowl and make a hole in the midle.
  • Put yeast into a glass of water (some 2dcl) and stir well, untill the yeast is completely dissolved.
  • Put the yeast solution into the flour and add some olive oil (I add about 4 table spoons, but more is better) and some salt.
  • Mix it all together, then knead it well.
  • Leave the dough to rise, when it incerases twice its original size, I like to knead it again, and leave it 15 minutes more.

Now is time to »flatten the dough« (i don't really know ho to tell it in English) and put the garnishes to your choice.
I love to put on some tomato souce with fresh basil and pepper in it, roasted turkey breast and mozzarella cheese.

To avoid fattening or oiling up the baking sheet, sprinkle some semolina on it and it will prevent the dough from sticking during the baking;) Put it in the oven (preheat it to max) and bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes.

Isn't it simple?

Serve it with a beer of your choice – YES, beer is coming into fashion for girls, too. I would usually choose Kastel Rouge (beware: a strong one!).
If you're not into alcoholic beverages, ice tea will also be great.

Bon Appétit!

MY TOP 5 MAKE UP PRODUCTS

I'm absolutely confident that each girl in this world has a few make up products that she would not want to live without. I'm not wearing make up every day, partially because I am to lazy to do it if I have a day off at the weekend, partially because I want to let my skin breathe and have some rest.  In days when I want to still look very naturall, but in a better way I will use just a few really basic make up product to give myself a bit of colour and of course to fell more confident. Here is the list of my must have make up products.

MASCARA

For me, mascara is the most esential beauty product. It makes me look soo much more 'alive', it opens my eyes and makes the bigest change on my face. I especialy love mascaras that add volume, lenght and thickness to my lashes.
I am currentley using Maybelline »The Rocket« and I am enjoying it. It's a great »budget friendly« mascara that makes my lashes much thicker. It is a bit on a clumpy side and it does not do a very good job lenghtening the lashes, but this is just my opinion.
What can I say about staying power? It's ok, I have rather oily skin and it works ok, I can wear it all day long without smudging (as you can see, I am using the non water proof version).
The price is some 10€ which is great. But I have to add, I prefer Maybelline Falsies and I will repurchase it as soon as this one runs out.

BLACK EYELINER

This product is almost as important as mascara. I love to line my eyes, whether it is just a simple line to frame my eyes a bit for the day time, or maybe a more dramatic line for the night time. The eyeliner can make (along with mascara) a whole difference on the face.
For every day use I just line my upper eyelid and smuge it a little along my lower lid.

The one I presently use a brand named Bourjois and it is the simplest black one. If you are willing to pay a bit more, I recommend the Lancôme Le crayon Khol in black.

CONCEALER

I can live without foundation and powder (conditionaly), but I can NOT live without a concealer. I like it when my skin look as natural as possible, so I don't like to put on a thick pile of make up and cover it completley. When I have a good skin day, I just conceal the imperfections where neccessary and that is it. I love to use the Bourjois Halthy Mix concealer, and it is great. It looks great on the skin and on top of it it is very affordable (I think it is under 10€). I love the packaging. It comes in the tub which makes it more hygienic than doe foot ones.

It is a great product and it can easily be comparable with more expensive concealers.

BLUSHER

Because I am more on the paler side I love to add some colour to my skin. I love love love my Frankley Scarlet blush from Mac. As you can see it is definitely not a very modest colour, it is so poppy and bright that it's almost scary to put on the cheeks. I am sure it looks grat on the darker skin tones, but I am pale and it looks awesome. If you are pale, I recomend to use it really really little. I dip my brush into the product, then use it on my hand and the last step is my face. It gives me the natural blush that makes me look healthier and... happy.
Mac products price tag is a bit steep, but i think it is worth the price.

EYEBROW GEL

Last product on my top five product list it has to be something for my brows. Nice eyebrows really make a difference. They frame the face and add the final tuch to your make up. I was deciding between a pencil and gel. I think gel is better for me because I am pretty happy with my brows. Even though I have naturally orange hair I have brown eyebrows and I don't have freckles which makes me a very weird ginger:P
But I love to put something through my eyebrows. Gel really does the job, it defines the brows and »puts them in their place«. I only use the clear one from the local drugstore. I found out that this one (and it is really cheap – Catrice, the price is about 3€) isn't any worse that other, more expensive ones. It does the job, and that is the only thing that matters.

That is the list of my essential make up products.  Did you try any of these products? If you did, what do you think about them? What are your favorite make up products?

Introducing Lili

In one of my first posts, I wrote about a dog named Aja, who we had to put to sleep.
Then we had to cry our tears out, and after two weeks, the new puppy found herself at home in our house.

Lili is a two month old Jack Russell Terrier/French Bulldog mix. Should be a nice combo:)

Just chillin'
Too fast for the camera
I only wanted to introduce her to you all, she's so sweet it'd be a shame not to.

YUMMY :)

To those who know me, it is no longer a secret that I love deserts. Really love! All sorts of them. I know this is not a very nice habit to have, and it is not healthy at all. At least if not done properly.
But when I decide to have a desert (and I don't have it every day) I love to do it myself to minimize the damage as much as possible. I love to make deserts that are small and cute, use as much fruits as possible and I am trying to make them a bit lighter.
This creamy and small yogurt dessert is really nice to serve after lunch. I love that is not too sweet, it is more on the refresing side. I love to serve it with blanded fresh fruit with honey and some cinnamon. It is also super easy and fast to make.

To make it, you will need:
  • 3.6 dl yogurt
  • 2.5 dl whipped cream
  • 5 yelly sheets
  • juice of one lemon
  • blueberries, strawberries, raspberries or nothing
  • sugar

For the topping/sauce:
  • blueberries, strawberries or rasberries
  • honey
  • juice of one lemon

Procedure:
  • First, I recomend you put yelly sheets into cold water. (according to instructions on the bag)
  • Whip the cream.
  • In another bowl mix yogurt and sugar (at this point I love to add a dash of rum).
  • In a small pot, heat up the lemon juice and put the yelly in it – stir until ingredients mix and disolve.
  • Add jelly-lemon mixture into the yogurt-sugar mixture. :P
  • The final step is to mix in the crem. I love to put mixture in small plastic cups. Top it with some fruits if you like it, but it is not mandatory.

Live it in the frezzer for 4 to 5 hours.
Enjoy!

The topping or sauce, I don't really know how to call it, is the simplest:
Buy frozen fruits, put them (still frozen) into blender, add honey to taste, some cinnamon, and blend it all together. Done! :D

If you try to make this delightful desert yourself, please let me know how you like it and what you did differently that made it better or worse.

Bon appétit! ;)

Love, P.
